Addicted to Wii
With the growing sales of over 3.2 million Wiis sold, the Wii phenomonom increases. Can you become addicted to Wii?. Many will say it is not possible to be physically addicted to Wii, however the trends may show a different side. So how do you know if you’re addicted?
Even though the addiction may not be caused by a chemical imbalance, there are factors that may hint toward an addiction. Lets take a look at some of these symptoms.
Lets say you get pulled over by the police because you are in a parking lot racing around in your car. You think you are in a Mario Brothers cart and your only excuse is that you just made a your high score.
You jump off your couch and do a back flip everytime you get up because you think you are racing down the hill on a pair of skis. Or you get trigger finger that leads you to go to the doctors. Thats not so good!
How about when you go bowling and you score more than a 250, the bad thing is this your first time ever actually bowling at a realy bowling alley. Or even worse you can’t bowl at all because you dont have a remote in your hand.
Other symptoms may include insomnia, loss of appetite and reclusive ness, and an overall withdrawal from society. You then realize you havent left the house in a week. Of course these are the extremes! How do your symptoms present?
In my opinion there is no addiction. These are the signs of a true gamer who enjoys the Wii. This trend is a sign of changing times as it draws people closer. New bonds betweens families and friends are formed as well an increase level of fitness. Ride the wave of the Wii and keep gaming!
